Wild, Wild West!

I am so excited to begin planning Kyle's second birthday! This year I have decided to go with a train theme because of Kyle's love for Thomas and trains in general. I will be out of summer school very soon... so let the crafting begin!!! I was going through some old photos and found his first birthday pictures. I was sad to realize that I did not get detailed pictures of all the decorations I made, but you will at least get a good idea of our day. For his first birthday, I decided to go with a cowboy theme. With my Mom living in the southwest, we love the theme!

I collected pictures of all the men in the family dressed in cowboy clothing. The poster says, "I come from good stock!"

Love that cake!

I made a banner that says "Howdy."

The treat bags were bandannas and the sign says, "Thanks for comin' y'all. Take some chow for the road."

The dishes on the food table had red bandanna print on the sides. I used blue bandannas, on an angle, to create a runner down the table.

His cake was blue on the sides to look similar to denim.

His outfit was purchased from Etsy.com as was the bib.

The horse heads were made with felt. I used them in little places throughout the party to help tie the decorations together.

I created a "Happy Birthday" banner to match the "Howdy" banner in the living room.

These pictures make me so happy. The day was a ropin' good time for all!
